Synopsis :
Gabriel dreams of composing film scores, but fame is proving elusive, and he can no longer earn a living by giving music lessons. So, when a former business-school classmate offers to hire him as the Paris sales manager for an American funeral services company, he accepts. Before taking up his post at Sky and Earth, however, he must complete a three-month internship at the Père-Lachaise branch, learning the ropes and getting a feel for the job. Alongside Gervais Bron, who's been in the business for 15 years, Gabriel discovers the world of undertakers, stiffs, burials, and business... As he overcomes his reluctance, he makes all the mistakes you could possibly make while learning the undertaker's trade. He's constantly juggling, trying to keep the truth from his aging hippie parents, who are hostile to the notion of a real job, and from his sweetheart, Claire, who sees him as a great musician. The situation gets complicated when he sells a funeral to a certain Mr. Froissard, grandfather to none other than Claire, who is furious at the vultures who preyed on the old man's weakness...!
