The French cinema industry has lost one of its greatest ever ambassadors, Jean-Paul Belmondo. The magnificent, popular, tireless and UNIQUE Jean-Paul Belmondo! More then just an actor, he represented an era, was a genre in his own right, and embodied cinema with his simple glance and voice recognized by hoards of movie lovers.
Jean-Paul Belmondo’s filmography is very extensive and we had the great fortune of supporting several of the films he appeared in.
Alongside us, the actor appeared in no less than seven films: THE BRAIN, GREED IN THE SUN, THE THIEF OF PARIS, THE MARRIED COUPLE OF THE YEAR TWO, COP OR HOOD, LE GUIGNOLO and ACE OF ACES. Which of these classics is your favorite?
During his career, Jean-Paul Belmondo worked with some of cinema’s greatest directors, including Georges Lautner, Louis Malle and Henri Verneuil, and starred alongside such stars as Michel Galabru, Marlène Jobert, Bernadette Lafont and Lino Ventura.
His laughter and flair for stunts have enthralled whole generations of moviegoers and will continue to do so for many years to come. An actor with a big heart and a very personal style, Jean-Paul Belmondo was one of the greatest ambassadors of French comedy and will be sorely missed.
