In news that rocked the French cinema industry, Bertrand Tavernier left us on March 25.
While we only worked with this brilliant director twice, once in 1977 on Spoiled Children and then in 2016 on Journey Through French Cinema, we will miss him greatly.
A director, screenwriter and author, his passion for cinema drove him from an early age. He was a committed artist and it’s clear to see that his work and deep-seated convictions went hand-in-hand; he addressed social issues in a way that remains significant.
