GAUMONT launches exhibition with LACOSTE
When the daisy meets the crocodile, Lacoste makes a scene
Lacoste has set up their flagship store in the old Gaumont Ambassade cinema building on Champs-Élysées. To celebrate its opening, a collaborative Gaumont/Lacoste exhibition was in the works for several months inside this symbolic new store.
In a nod to the past of this legendary address, "Lacoste fait son cinéma" ("Lacoste makes a scene") has shone a light on two richly unique histories with common founding values.
Léon Gaumont and René Lacoste: two visionary founders who, in their respective fields, both left their mark on the 20th century and revolutionized their industries.
Two iconic French companies, two success stories, laden with history.
The exhibition is designed around 5 axes:
HISTORY / INNOVATION / CREATIVITY / MOVEMENT / EMOTION.
Through the history of these two brands, and the journeys of their respective designers, visitors had the opportunity to discover a contemporary display of symbolic objects from the two companies, like the high-speed camera or the first knitting machine, iconic posters or legendary polo shirts, on a walk through the heritage of the daisy and the crocodile.
