Galia, a self-reliant young woman saves Nicole from drowning. The young woman wants to die because she cannot bear her husband Greg's infidelity any longer. Galia puts the unhappy woman up at her place and offers to see how Greg reacts to her disappearance. Galia contrives to meet Greg. At first exasperated by Greg's indifference, Galia ends up falling in love with him. Aware of her new friend's feelings, Nicole resolves to spare Galia the grief that she has come to know so well, and kills her husband.
