L'arpète

Pommier, a dress designer, wants a rich American's business, so he asks Jacqueline, his apprentice, to pretend to be a big buyer. But things go awry when she finds the millionaire at her lover's home. It turns out that the American is the young painter's father whereas Jacqueline had always thought he was as poor as she. Misunderstandings and mishaps clutter the road that eventually leads the lovers up the aisle.
