British born Mrs Cambronne has often been told of her husband's 'word'. She keeps pestering him to find out what the word means. But the General refuses point blank and stony silence is her only answer. At last, the pretty maid Adèle makes the meaning of the term very clear one day by crying out the expletive in dismay at a blunder.
