In 1938, Gordon, a spy working for the Germans, wants to get his hands on the invention of an English officer. He bribes a fallen woman Stella, makes her marry a man from a noble English family, and then kills her husband. Now a widow, Stella goes to her in-laws in England and gets the information Gordon wanted. But the young woman realizes she is involved in a despicable enterprise and reveals the plot to Counter-intelligence.
