Killers, like artists, sometimes leave their work unfinished. Those who survive a murder attempt are obsessed by the fear that one day the killer may return to finish the job. Jeanne Quester, a doctor who works on a psychiatric emergency unit, is also the host of a nightly talk on "Skyrock" radio, where she helps her listeners to resolve their problems. Jeanne's show and her private life are a success. She has come out of her divorce well. Her twelve-year-old daughter, Pauline, adores her. She is starting to love a new man. And she's been offered a weekly television program. Things are going really well. Looking at her, no one would ever guess that twenty-five years ago, she had lived through the most horrible tragedy imaginable. And then HE calls her at the radio station while she is on the air, doing the show. At first, she doesn't realize that the caller is HIM. But when he asks her "Do you believe it's unhealthy to leave things unfinished?"; she begins to get frightened. That evening, when she comes home, Jeanne finds the body of her daughter's pet parrot's in her bed. This time, she panics.
