Belgium, 1950s. As a teenager, Jeannine suffers from her mother's coldness. At first tempted by drawing studies, she enters the convent to escape her parents' authority. But Jeannine is a strong head and has trouble adapting to her new life. Despite the hostility of the mother superior, she finds her rare moments of comfort and happiness in music. One day, she composed "Dominique", which immediately won over the sisters. At first hostile, her hierarchy was quick to understand that the Church could find its interest in it. Jeannine's stage name will soon be known around the world: Soeur Sourire...
