Angoulême, South-West France. September 1980. Teacher Gabrielle Delorme is a 40-year-old divorcee and mother of two children. Among her high-school students at the start of the new school year is Lucas Malzieu, aged 15. Despite being separated by so many years, a powerful attraction grows between the two. A passion that is as unexpected as it is irresistible, with the promise to save them from their own loneliness. After some hesitation, they decide to give into their feelings, initially keeping their liaison secret. But eventually, they are discovered...
